BOTH SINGLE AND DOUBLE
After a very strict selection, our cellar Master distillates white wines, the raw material of armagnac, in our cellar, located in Condom. A part of the wine undergoes a single distillation in an Armagnac alambic, as is commonly done in the region. Another part undergoes a double distillation in our Charentais pot stills. This double distillation is Le Marque’s signature and confers to our eaux-de-vie a unique freshness and character.
As soon as they are out of our stills, our eaux-de-vie are poured in French oak barrels. Slowly, by contact with the wood, their aromas evolve. The fruity notes from the white eau-de-vie blend with vanilla, candied fruits and prune. All eaux-de-vie age at least four years before being blended and giving birth to Le Marque armagnacs.
SINGULARITY AND HARMONY
Final step, the blending will allow us to maintain the signature taste of our armagnacs through time. Year after year, our cellar Master selects in our cellars eaux-de-vie with complementary characters and will blend them to reproduce identically the aromas and tastes of Le Marque VSOP, XO or EXTRA armagnacs.
